I didn't want him to be a 'fully realized' half-beast guy, as much as some 'barely beasty' guy just doing what he can and trying to get through life. Someone that would be on a comedy slice-of-life show about fantastical race people that are only barely fantastical or something. So just really plain and Joe Schmoe. I kept to native flesh tones and added subtle depth to the forehead/brown bone, some darkness around the eyes, and a bit of nose contour to keep it from just washing out into his face completely.
